The Union Station located in Denver, Co has served as a medium for millions of travelers for over 122 years. This massive structure was originally built in 1881, it was rebuilt in1914 and has been recently renovated in 2014. While the inside of the structure looks brand new, the outside still looks like it was built in the early 20th century. Personally, this is one of my favorite buildings to see when I am visiting my sister in Denver. I enjoy its character as well as relaxing the one of its several restaurants. In my experience, Union Station is one of the cheapest and most efficient ways to travel from the airport to downtown. When I stand in front of this building, I feel like I traveled back to a time when trains were the most dominant form of transportation. I find it interesting to think about how the landscape and the environment around this building had changed over the 122 years. I admire the creativity as well as the ability of the architects to maintain its early 20th century appearance.
