During my time in Rome, I was particularly fond of the Pantheon, which was the very first temple open to the public. The world’s largest dome is absolutely jaw dropping. With its “man is the individual of the universe” design, it truly made you feel like you just stepped into a different dimension. You could literally feel the spiritual presence of this temple upon walking into the building. I remember looking up, gazing at its vastness and thinking “wow, how did the ancient Romans complete this?” It was absolutely breathtaking. It’s amazing to think that this piece, like many, played such an influential role in the reform movement and truly shifted the culture to a more religious viewpoint.
