This convention center lies on the shore of Lake Monona. Frank Lloyd  Wright proposed this design in 1938, but it was rejected by a single vote. He would continue to fight for this building to be allowed until he died in 1959. Supporters of the Monona Terrace kept the fight alive. After a series of obstacles and opposers, nearly sixty years after Wright originally designed the building, the community and convention center was finally opened.

This is a beautiful building. I would definitely like to visit this some day. From the top of the building you would have a great view of the city and the lake, and the building itself is something worth looking at as well.
