Frank Lloyd Wright designed this house in 1923 and built it in 1924 for Charles and Mabel Ennis. It was built in Los Angeles, California. The use of textile blocks on this house makes it known to many as Mayan Revival architecture. It is said to be based on Mayan temples.

The Ennis House has such an interesting design that it has been used  or has inspired houses and mansions in many movies and television series.

The house was also deemed one of the top ten houses of all time in the Los Angeles Times and is listed on the Department of the Interior, National Register of Historic Places, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation list of Endangered Historic Places, and is a designated California Historical Landmark, and a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.
