Bizzell Memorial Library

The Bizzell Memorial Library of the University of Oklahoma is one of the most beautifully designed buildings I have seen and it left a lasting impression on me. I remember I came to a football game with my parents, who both attended OU, and I saw the library for the first time. It is so grand and the gothic accents made it stand out from other buildings I had seen around Oklahoma. It was built with $500,000 from the state legislation and was finished in 1929. The architects for the original project were Layton Hicks and Forsyth.
