AT&T Stadium

AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is the one structure that no matter how many times I see, I am still in amazed by its vast size and architectural beauty. Commonly referred to as “Jerry World,” this beast of a structure is hard to miss when driving through Arlington. Although it doesn’t have the largest capacity for a professional stadium, it is perhaps the most comfortable. This stadium is important to me because I have attended many games, as well as “played” my last high school game in this stadium. Coming from someone who often gets bored watching sports, watching games in this stadium is an exception. There is nothing more exciting than seeing a big play live and hearing the 80,000 other people in the stadium erupt. My experience with AT&T stadium has motivated me to travel and visit other sports venues, such as the OU game in Neyland Stadium last year. It was an unforgettable time that I would not have appreciated nearly as much if I had never been to AT&T stadium.

  1. Jerry World is definitely an architectural feat. I remember going to the first major game played in the stadium, where OU lost to BYU in the first game of the season when Sam Bradford got hurt in the first quarter. The only thing that hasn’t brought Zeal to my experiences here is the Accoustics when the dome is closed. It seems like there is no where for sound to go. But maybe thats the point of a football stadium, to be boXed in.
