Price Hall

I’ve chosen Price Hall, part of the Michael F. Price College of Business as my next building because this is where I spend majority of my class time at. I remember transferring to Price College as a business accounting major last year. The first time I stepped foot into Price Hall was for an advisement and the large building was overwhelming at first. The different hallways and various corner turns of the building also made it hard and confusing at first.

Michael F. Price College of Business was originally called Business Administrative Building and was completely finished in 1936. Then in 1997, the name was changed to the current Michael F. Price College of Business. Price Hall was built and finished in 2005.

AT&T Stadium

The first building that I’ve selected is the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. With its seating capacity of 80,000 people, it is home to the Dallas Cowboys. The AT&T Stadium replaced the old Texas Stadium in 2008 and was completely finished with its new design structure in 2009. One unique feature about this stadium is its large retractable roof. When the roof was still in process, the designer wanted it to resemble and preserve the famous stadium feature “hole in the roof” and takes about 12 minutes to open or close. Another distinctive feature is its large retractable end-zone doors. Each door consists of five glass panels at 129 feet in height and 180 feet in width. This 320’ft tall stadium doesn’t just hold football games but also holds several sporting events and various festivals such as the BBQ festival. Not only is this stadium overwhelmingly enormous in size, it contains 15 parking lots that can get overwhelming too. In my personal experience, it was very hard to really appreciate every part of the stadium because it was of how crazy and busy it was but one thing I will always remember is being fascinated by the screens. The massive screens hanging in the center of the field, each weighing over 1 million pounds caught my eyes because of it’s size and its perfect center location. The main reason I chose the AT&T building was because this is where I watched my first NFL game, Cowboys vs. Packers in 2013.
