Holy Ascension Orthodox Christian Church

Not only have I lived across the street from this church for over 4 years now but it is one of the few buildings that I will never get tired of driving past. It is awe inspiring and although I have no interest in becoming a member, I’d definitely appreciate getting to take a look inside. The building itself was built in 1998 in the visions of a fellow Orthodox pastor by the name of Father Constantine Nasr and follows the traditional synagogue style.

The Bizzell Library

The Bizzell Library was the one of the first buildings I ever saw on my campus visit to the University of Oklahoma. I remember being incredibly taken back by the sheer size of the building itself, yet alone the design. One of my favorite things about the building itself is the Great Reading Room, very similar to something out of Harry Potter. Sporting a Cherokee Gothic architectural design, the building uses a mixture of bricks and lighter stones along with designs inspired by American Indian tribes within Oklahoma.
