AT&T Stadium

AT&T Stadium formerly known as Cowboys Stadium serves as home to the NFL team the Dallas Cowboys. The Stadium opened its doors in May of 2009. “Jerry World” as I like to call it, can seat 80,000 people (not including standing room) making it the 5th largest NFL Stadium. I have been to a number of events at the stadium but my favorite experience would have to be when my high school football team got invited to take part in a football combine at the stadium. We got to the stadium and Nike decked us out in all the newest equipment, and we went on the field and ran some drills. The thing that made that experience so great was the “shock and awe” that we all felt when we stepped onto the field.

HEB Pennington Field

Pennington Field is home to the L.D. Bell Blue Raiders and the Trinity Trojans football teams. As a former Blue Raider I spent many Friday nights on Pennington Field waging war with the opposing team. The stadium opened in 1987 and would host not only football games but soccer matches and other special events. One interesting thing about Pennington Field is that it does not have a track around the field. As a result the stands are that much closer to the field making the spectators’ experience more intimate.
