For my last post I decided to do my high school because it had a big impact on me as a person but also it was a very interesting building. It was built in the 60s and to this day is mostly all original. It was originally a public high school that failed and then for two years was a police station and then sat completely empty for a year before some local parents and teachers bought the building and created Metro Christian Academy to be a non-denominational christian school for K-12th grades. It has an interesting layout with a half rectangular shape and half circular shape on the other end. It is two stories with a ginormous basement where multiple other classrooms and science labs are held. The most bizarre aspect about Metro’s building is that it barely has any windows. In fact most of the building does not have windows.
