Over this recent summer I got to experience to study abroad in Italy with Price Business College and one of the buildings that struck me the most was the Colosseum. I have always seen pictures on the internet or a TV but seeing this magnificent piece of artwork in person was amazing. Walking up the steps and peeking over the ledge was breathtaking, just seeing and hearing from our tour guide of how the slaves  lifted these 2,000 to 6,000 pound blocks of solid rock a few hundred feet into the air was confusing to understand how they did it. Looking over the ledge into the dungeon pits where they kept all the animals and then picturing thousands of people yelling at this entertainment took me back to that time era. Trying to picture how they build these types of buildings back thousands of years ago without modern technology like we have today such as cranes, heavy equipment, even just computer technology to design these structures was crazy. If one wants to make a trip overseas I highly recommend the Italian region.
