The construction of this elevated water tower was in an area of neglect and the purpose of creating an elevated water tower was to promote people to notice from the main roadways, a purposeful plaza that would be used for relaxation and observation. This tower also incorporates many species of plants within in the tower that would have been obviously lost after the construction of the plaza and tower, and this idea was maintained by architects to sustain a green environment. The structure of the tower is concrete and is located in Madrid, Spain. It is approximately twenty five meters tall and an important landmark. The walkway leading up to the tower encourages people to leave the roadways, follow the wooden steps, and walk among the plaza with interaction among people. This area will also be complete with an active underground transport network, in the near future, and this will allow a developed interest in the tower. The tower will be a center of a thriving community with a constant reminder of great works that are accomplished. This type of architecture is interesting to me because these architects are taking something as simple as a water tower, and using the added effects of plant scenery, wooden walkways, concrete construction, and lights to establish a landmark that will draw people to their site.
