Children’s Museum of Houston

In 1980 Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates collaborated with the Jackson & Ryan architectural firm to design and build the Children’s Museum of Houston, in Houston Texas. The larger than life cartoon exterior is a play on classical architectural styles with a modern twist that is very characteristic of Venturi. The Museum is a perfect place for children and Venturi has done an excellent job of toning down his bold style and making it perfectly whimsical for the excitement of the children’s museum inside.
